Meet You at Midnight~ Taylor Swift's New Album

On August 28, 2022, at the VMAs, after winning an award for her All Too Well: The Short Film, she announced in her speech, the release of her new album, Midnights.

Any fan of Taylor Swift would know that besides her rereleasing her old music to get the rights back (which is an entirely different story), she has not released a completely new album, since Evermore in 2020.

Evermore and Folklore were both smashing successes, and personally some of my favorite music to listen to when I am sad, or need to concentrate.

Midnights is said to contain stories and songs that Taylor wrote during the nights she couldn’t sleep, the nights where dreaming is all we want to do, but can’t even escape to that reality…

As someone who has difficulty sleeping, I am sure I will be able to enjoy and relate to most, if not all, of the songs. When the time comes, I would love to know your opinions too.`

Speaking of Taylor Swift, I would love to take a deep dive into her discography and talk about the deep, intense, lyrical meanings of some of the albums like Folklore and Evermore, along with why she is recording her old music. This leads me to what I’d like to call, “Taylor Tuesdays”.

Along with this being revealed to the public, a lot happened at the VMAs. I invite you to read a future post of mine, breaking down the VMAs from the performances, award winners, and even outfits. Were they really award-worthy?

Thank you, and this was Popin’ with Alex.
